Fools Gold first hit the shelves in November 1989 and today, 27th July, is the fourth time it will be released. For those of you unfamiliar with the single you may wonder how a single could be released so many times by the same band in a 20 year period. Well, the answer is because it is really just that good. The release of this Fools Gold is the best way for The Stone Roses to show new music fans just why they were so popular and to give their legions of fans something to get excited about before the re-release of their debut album which is out August 10th.
