GLC
GLC
After the phenomenal success of their Greatest Hits and Safe as Fuck albums, Welsh rap wonder boys Goldie Lookin Chain, GLC to those in the know, are ready to release their brand new album ASBO4LIFE on April 6th and the single, By Any Means Necessary, will be released on March 16th.
We got a chance to interview the guys before their gig at King tuts and after a self imposed exile of 2 years they are back and ready to tear the place up...chav style!

Goldie Lookin Chain
Started the night by interviewing Rhys, Adam and Mike from Goldie Lookin Chain. The guys were a good laugh and seemed happy to chat to us. Check out the interview. The gig itself was sold out and packed full of hardcore fans dressed head to toe chavtastic. The band came on full of energy and had some good banter with the crowd. Considering the amount of them on stage they seemed pretty organised taking turns coming to the front to sing, even throwing in a dance routine for one of their new songs. The set list consisted of all their hits as well as quite a few tracks from the new album, ASBO4LIFE, which is out April 6th. They seemed to be genuinely appreciative of the crowd with Rhys pausing every now and then to take some pictures and complimenting the well dressed fans. Overall the gig was a lot of fun with a really energetic crowd and lots of sillyness. Maybe not the kind of band for anyone that takes themselves or their music too seriously (or anyone who is easily offended for that matter) but if you just want a good night out and to have a laugh at some welsh men running around in tracksuits singing about robots and your mum having a penis then they are definitely worth going to see.
