Placebo are back after 3 years out the spotlight with new single ‘For What It’s Worth’, out now. The release comes just in time for festival season and I can just picture the crowd jumping along to this pounding rock anthem. The catchy chorus and thundering beat make it the perfect comeback single, well at least in my opinion. There are many that believe the lyrics to be weak and the song not edgy enough to be the Placebo they know and love. Having been a fan of Placebo but not an aficionado, it is probably not my place to tell them they are wrong but I will say that I love the new single and for me it is the perfect introduction to their new album ‘Battle for the Sun’, out June 8th.
